AIM-quoted Upstream is an early mover in the rapidly-developing Chinese and Asia-Pacific corporate and marketing communications sector, and was recently named one of the Ten Most Prominent PR Agencies in China by Fortune Times Magazine.

Our approach is to win significant assignments from multinational clients, while also acquiring well-established local agencies. We aim to stay ahead of the curve by providing central strategy, business development, and financial controls to strongly-motivated local management teams.

Upstream is set to complete the acquisition of its Australian affiliate later this month with full integration form April 1. And the business development pipeline remains strong as we head to the end of the first quarter.

Business Development
Expanded Network to Capture New Revenue Opportunities
Upstream's Asia-Pacific network has been extended through the acquisition of an Australian PR business with major clients such as Linksys and Skype. The £800,000 cash and paper acquisition is in line with Upstream's aims of positioning large overseas corporations moving into China while building a stronger presence in the wider Asia-Pacific region. The deal completes March 31 and the firm will be called Upstream Australia.

Having a significant presence in Australia will enhance our ability to drive business throughout the network and serve clients region wide - both within Australia itself and for Australian clients moving into China.
